When good things tend to happen many helping hands come together to work for the benefit of the Society.

Agrawals are basically a commercial community or Vaishyas. They are one of the most respectable and enterprising of mercantile tribes. Two of Emperor Akbar's famous ministers are said to have been Agrawals, viz, Todarmal who introduced an assessment of land, and Madhushah, who introduced 'Madhushahi' pice.

In the year 2011 Surat Agrawal Community Social workers, Philanthropist, business tycoons, professional, educationist came together to serve the Society.

They formed a trust in the name of Agrawal Pragati Trust, Surat on 01.01.2012 and got it registered with Income Tax Department as well as Charity Commissioner, Surat-Gujarat.

Today trust is enjoying 80G exemption under section 12 AA (1) of Income Tax dated 31.03.2012 and registered with the Charity Commissioner Surat having Regn. No. E/7174/Surat dated 16.01.2012.

The members of the trust took a wider thought as taught by Shri Maharaja Agrasenji to have (one rupee and one brick) for every new comer in their city. They approached every individuals of the community and with their financial support they could procure 4784 sq. yards plot near Surat Airport at Dumas Village to construct a modern community bhawan with various facilities.

121 Founder Trustees came together to proceed further and to complete their dream project.

First time in the history of any public building getting constructed for the community could witness the Bhoomi Pujan by 108 Founder Trustees with their spouse on 06.12.14.

The bandhkam team has engaged Architect Ratan J Batliboi & Co/-, Mumbai and Clansay India as their structural engineer, local Arc. Manish Choksy as Interior Designer and Arc. Manish Chewali as this project's General and Interior Designer.

All the required compliances were done and construction work started on 01.04.15 under the able supervision and guidance of the people from the community only.
